As 2024 draws to a close I can’t help but reflect on what has been a transformative year for our company. From growth milestones to operational achievements and strategic expansions, this year has been marked by progress. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our customers, partners, and dedicated team for making these accomplishments possible. Here’s a look back at what we achieved together in 2024.

We’ve grown our customer base both in number and type of facilities spanning an array of clinical and non-clinical roles users. Collaborating with our customers, we’ve uncovered new use cases and success stories—illustrating the impact that indoor location can bring to teams striving for improved efficiency that leads to better patient outcomes.

One trend we see continuing is iOS fleet management for large deployments of iPhones and iPads - especially as Apple device usage continues to grow in healthcare. For organizations that have invested in the Apple ecosystem, these devices are now front and center in how daily work gets done - and the organizations have a strong interest in making sure utilization, security and availability are maintained. It’s a daunting task to manage at enterprise scale, especially inside large and complex indoor spaces. The amount of time spent by both IT and front-line teams managing, searching and replacing devices that go missing is a significant source of frustration.

We, however, view it as an opportunity to unlock additional opportunities for innovation and growth, which is exactly what we have done with our customers and health system partners. Navv will soon be managing nearly 20,000 devices across five states, and that number will continue to grow in the coming year.

We’ve also been hard at work developing a new capability in our platform that will bring reliable, accurate Indoor Location to an even broader audience. We’re calling this Indoor Location as a Service (iLaaS), and it means that the Navv Indoor Location Engine can now be easily integrated into other apps and platforms. One of the biggest challenges with indoor location is making it a seamless experience for end users, and we’re confident this is going to be a game changer when it comes to making enterprise-grade indoor location available and actionable.

Understanding how to scale indoor location reliably for large numbers of devices, and doing this while maintaining the highest levels of security, availability and privacy has been integral to our team’s approach from day one. Maintaining a security-first posture is and always will be part of our DNA as an organization, and it’s notable that in 2024 we achieved SOC2 certification, a recognition of the important processes and controls our team has implemented and will continue to deliver for our customers.

None of this would be possible without the diligent efforts of our awesome team, the feedback and support of our customers, and support from our partners and friends. We’re looking forward to the new year, and all the great things that will come in 2025 as we expand awareness of indoor location, help customers and partners do more with iLaaS, and start to fold in some very exciting location-based workflow coordination, reporting, and alerting capabilities.

Sincerely,

Dan & The Navv Team
